My next few articles will focus on local nature adventures; starting with the Santa Fe River. While you can bring your own equipment, many outfitters can help with your day trip (some will even take your kayak or canoe upstream to a drop off point and pick you up downstream). The most likely sights are wild flowers, turtles, gators, birds and even goats (yes, goats!). Also, various springs feed into Santa Fe River, and they make great stopping points (Poe, Blue, Ichetucknee and Ginnie, just to name a few). With warmer weather coming soon, it’s a great time to have an adventure.
