Who doesn’t love a good surprise party? Well, ‘surprisingly’ a lot of people don’t! The attention of a group gathering can oftentimes be stressful and make your partner uncomfortable. This is where an intimate dinner for two can turn into the perfect memorable surprise.
Clear the schedule
Set the stage of your romantic dinner by making sure the two of you will be alone. If you have children, arrange for babysitting at someone else’s home.
Set the mood
Using a different part of your home or an unexpected location like the place you met, a private dining room in their favorite restaurant or even a warehouse space to create an intimate setting will set the tone! The unexpected element of your location is one of the best parts of this surprise.
Creating an intimate setting in a larger space is all about bringing the focus to your details. We set up a romantic table for two that was framed by a tufted leather wall, gorgeous flowers by our florists, and a festive organic balloon arch in coordinating colors.
Extra Tip:
Don’t forget to curate the perfect playlist! Choose the music you want to listen to ahead of time, and have those romantic reminiscing tunes ready to play in the background.
Wine and Dine
Consider hiring a private chef to cook at your home. After all, this is meant to be a special night. Decide on your dinner menu, and make it personal with the types of food that you know they will like. This isn’t a time to experiment too much. Go all out with wine pairings if you want! Print out menus, or ask your contact at the restaurant if they can print them for you.
If you are going to order your part of your romantic dinner from a restaurant or other source, make sure you have time to transfer the menu items to attractive bowls and platters.
Relax and Enjoy
Gone are the days when gifting your significant other a perfume or watch. Innovation is in, and you have to think of ways to woo them and make them feel special! Plan out your night in advance with the help of a few professionals and make sure to live in the moment and enjoy the new memories you will create.
