Gainesville Fashion Week 2014

 

The seventh season of Gainesville Fashion Week promises to be the best season yet. From emerging designers to fresh musical and artistic talent, GFW 2014 is proud to announce this season’s events.

On Friday, April 4th, Gainesville Fashion Week will kick off with a night of art, music and fashion. The Art Show, presented by Gainesville Today, will begin at 7 p.m. at the Mustang Hangar, 4701 NE 40 Terrace.

The show will be a sophisticated and cosmopolitan celebration of 50 national and local artists of all kinds, including music by Max & Andrew, Bells and Robes and Will Brennan. There will also by a fashion showcase by Thrift 5. Meet new friends, mingle with old ones, and make connections with some our most talented artists. Enlivened by DJs from Swamp Records, this is sure to be an inspiring night. Art will not be bought and sold at the show, but guests are at full liberty to arrange transactions with artists elsewhere. The Runway Collections will begin Saturday, April 5th at the Mustang Hangar. Doors open at 6 p.m. Returning to our roots, Gainesville Fashion 2014 presents a series of emerging designers who exemplify the talent from North Central Florida, including Zanniekini, Ching Ya, Francine Elizabeth, Mikho, 1oz Project and Xiao Lin. Kelly Kochis and Denise Driscoll, two local DJs frequently featured at Speakeasy and The Motor Room, will set the tone for the show. Gainesville Fashion Week 2014 will end with Sunday Brunch at 101 Downtown on Sunday, April 6th. This event is open to anyone and everyone and will take place at noon. Attendees can mingle and be merry over a deliciously customized menu one last time to wrap up the 2014 season.
