Rick Davis, owner of Davis Automotive Group, the Official Hometown Automotive
Partner of the Florida Gators, will send 50 members of the Alachua County Boys and Girls Club and 50 members of the Marion County Boys and Girls Club to watch the Florida Gators take on the UAB Blazers on Saturday, November 18.
In addition to the ticket to the game, each child will receive a complimentary t-shirt, a
food and drink voucher, and transportation to the game. They will also have the
opportunity to meet Albert and Alberta before kickoff.
“We’re proud of our partnership with the Florida Gators and we saw this as an
opportunity to use that partnership to make a difference in the communities we live and
operate in. We’re privileged to be able to give back in this way,” said Rick Davis.
Adam Brewer, a member of the Boys and Girls Club board, said, “I was thrilled when
Davis brought this idea to us. We were able to use the trip as an incentive for our kids to
focus on improvement and it really worked. They were excited for this trip and we saw
an immediate change in their attention to school work and behavior. We’re excited to
reward them for their hard work with a fun experience like this.”
The kids, many of which will be attending their first Gator game on Saturday, will enjoy
the day at the stadium at no cost to their families. Davis hopes to make this an annual
event in which they partner with various local youth organizations within the community.
“This is an amazing opportunity to give these kids a day they’ll remember for a long
time. We’re so thankful to Davis for making it happen, and we look forward to working
with them again in the future,” said Shane Johnson, Executive Director of the Alachua
County Club.”
