With just one hour to make an appetizer, entree and dessert using the secret ingredient, bourbon, the Iron Chef Gainesville competitors gave their all. Frankie Harvey, along with her team, Charles Hahn and Peyton Agliata, ultimately took the title. All three dishes Harvey and her team presented impressed the celebrity judges – Simon Majumdar, Angie Shaghaghi and Ivan Dorvil.
Harvey is a private chef for special events and she teaches cooking classes through her company The Elegant Gourmet.
The winning dishes were:
Tuna Tartare Napolean with Mango, Avocado, Cucumbers and Bourbon Sauce
Filo-Hemp Crusted Sea Bass on a bed of Squash Ribbons with Brown Butter Bourbon Date Sauce
Pecan Pizzelles with Bourbon-Raspberry Herbed Cream, Raspberry Coulis and Salted Caramel Sauce
